Turning an Instagram Lurker into a CLIENT

I have been working with a wonderful business owner this week on a Done For You email set up project.

She came to me because she wanted to share super valuable resources with her clients and create a community. Instead of sending multiple messages via WhatsApp, she wanted to build a monthly newsletter. One place with all the good stuff. This was the primary objective.

So I built her a landing page, and a newsletter template. We discussed the elements she wanted to share, I brought in her business branding and crafted a super easy-to-use Mailchimp template that she could jump in to and populate with all her brilliance.

Which she did.

Then I challenged her to share that she was starting a monthly newsletter with her Instagram community. Just a sprinkle of talking stories, sharing her plans with a link to join. 

So she did (she gets a gold star btw).

And she had a few sign-ups from the stories.

Then her newsletter went out. Jammed pack FULL of personality and sharing her expertise. 

And this is where the magic happened.

One of the Instagram lurkers, signed up to a new class that she had only talked about in her newsletter.

In one email newsletter and three Instagram stories she's bagged a new client.

This is a brilliant example of why I talk about email so much and I'm so passionate about helping you get started. 

Sometimes the leap from Instagram follower to buying is just a wee bit too big. They might need an easier way to buy from you. They might want to know a bit more than they see on your socials.

If you're building a community on Instagram, also create an asset for your business. An email list full of people who are ready to work with you or buy from you (just like my client above).
