Ways to use email marketing in your business
There are many reasons to use email in your business, not just for crafting regular newsletters. These are a selection of ways I use for my own business and for my clients.
Build waitlists
Did you know you can create a bespoke landing page for an event you’re running or an offer/ product that you’re launching? That way you grow your email list but also build a sub-group of people you know are interested in that particular thing. You can then send specific emails to just that group.
Back up your Instagram community
If you’ve followed me on Instagram for a while, or been to an event I’ve spoken at you’ll know that say this a lot. Instagram is one way of connecting to prospective customers and clients, but you don’t own your community there. One wrong link click and not even that blue tick can help you. Connect with your audience on a deeper level.
Email doesn’t appear at the mercy of the algorithm meaning your clients can tap into your genius at their leisure. You can also see what links they click on, so you can see valuable insights into what is resonating with your subscribers.
Make sales
Send an email, make a sale. The reason we are in business is to make money. And email does that. With an average ROI of $40 for every $1 spent, it really is a no brainer to have in your marketing mix. The joy of email is that you can include multiple links in various places within your email, which maximises sales opportunities.
Repurpose your content
I love using an email newsletter to inform your marketing content for the rest of the week. I always encourage my clients to sharing the value with their email subscribers first, which is a real benefit to joining your list.
Share lead magnets
Automatically share discount codes or helpful pdfs with your audience automatically on sign up using a welcome flow. Set it up once and you don’t have to worry about it again.
